Talismaan: One of a kind handcrafted Jewelry
A B O U T
Talisman is a collection of handmade jewelry crafted from a variety of semi-precious rocks, crystals, beads and charms. All pieces are conceptualized, designed, and handcrafted with love by me at my home studio. It all started as DIY weekend project until one day I realized that it was time for my hobby to transform into a business. Since most pieces are made with unique, natural stones, many are limited edition and one of a kind. The hand picked crystals tend not to be perfect but rather interesting and unique.

Along with procuring rare and unique raw material and making the jewelry, I also designed the identity and promotional material for the brand. I also promoted the brand via social media which included posting feeds and pictures on a regular basis.

India is so rich in its cultural that one can find inspiration in every corner. When it came to designing the products, I did not have a set process. At times I would just step out of the house for a stroll and come back with ideas for the design. Sometimes I would let the raw material that I had acquired lead the design.
R A W M A T E R I A L
50% of the time that was dedicated to Talismaan was spent acquiring unique and special raw material for making the jewelry. I made sure these semi-precious stones tend not to be perfect but rather interesting and different. At times I would spend hours in the scorching heat of Mumbai visiting each and every shop in the local market looking for these raw items.
B R A N D I N G
The structure and elements of the identity
The Hexagon: The identity is inspired from the basic structure of minerals(crystals). The crystal shapes can be squares, rectangles, triangles, diamonds or hexagons. Quartz was the most used crystal in my jewelry and if one slices through a quartz crystals, you would see a shape like hexagon, which is why I chose a hexagon as the main element of the logo.
The Background orb: The earth’s moon is surrounded by a lot of ambiguity. It affects the earth and all it’s living beings in mysterious ways. The moon has been part of mythology of various cultures. The circle in the background is inspired from the moon to represent mysticism.
